Day One – Topping everything are the Great Pyramids of Giza. Feast your eyes on these colossal tombs, the last remaining wonders of the ancient world. Day two – A visit to the Citadel of Saladin and Mohamed Ali’s Alabaster mosque. The latter in the Ottoman style is so constructed that it can be seen all over Cairo. Then, move to the fortress of Babylon, to visit the Church of St. Sergio with the Crypt in which the Holy Family sought refuge, the suspended church, which is rich in antiques from the early Christian period, and the Church of St Barbara, in which the relics of St. John.
You will not leave Cairo before visiting the oldest market in Africa, Khan El Khalili Bazaar to grab souvenirs with you back home.
