Our representative will pick you up from your hotel early in the morning, drive for approximately 2.30 hours, and then transfer you to St-Catherine for a visit to the St-Catherine monastery, which is located 220 kilometers northwest of Sharm El Sheikh, between the St-Mounts Catherine’s and Moses Mount, and is the oldest Christian monastery. It is an Orthodox Greek monastery with a citadel unlike any other, very rich in vital religious and historical structures within its majestic walls.
A library of ancient manuscripts and icons second only to the Vatican’s, as well as a 6th-century cathedral said to be built directly on the location of the Burning Bush, are among its riches.
After that, go to Dahab, the Red Sea’s Flower Power City, for a city and shopping trip. We’ll transport you back to your accommodation in Sharm El Sheikh after lunch at a local restaurant.
